Bespoke Wine Tour

Grant is an excellent wine guide - extremely knowledgeable as well as quite charming. I met winemakers and received a wealth of information about New Zealand wine making. It was a fantastic odyssey. I couldn't have asked for a better planned or executed journey.

Bespoke Self Drive

I have wanted to visit New Zealand for as long as I can remember and this trip was worth the wait. As a longtime Lord of the Rings fan this certainly added to the anticipation. I knew I would see spectacular countryside but I wasn't at all prepared for what I saw! It is majestic. I am in awe of the people and the pride they have for their country.

Decidedly Different Islands Tour

We thoroughly enjoyed our "up close" and personal tour. We have lovely memories of Di and Ian's warm hospitality on their Ashburton farm, the grandeur of the high country sheep station and the 10-mile drive up the mountains.

Your services were super. What really separates MoaTrek is a combination of personal services, itinerary and unique lodgings. It really contributed to understanding New Zealand’s people and culture. In summary our trip with MoaTrek was flawless in all respects and exceeded our expectations.

Sierra Club Nature and Hiking Tour

You did a great job of showing us a great deal of variety, beauty and unique pieces of New Zealand. Top that off with humour and warmth and a truly funny commentary that has made this trip one I will recount for years. Thanks for a job very, very well done.

Decidedly Different Islands Tour

Our trip has been wonderful thanks to your assistance, expertise and knowledge. You did select the best lodges, with the best food and locations. Your kindness is outstanding. How can I forget what you did for my wife’s birthday? We enjoyed it a lot! Thank you.

Decidedly Different Islands Tour

An absolutely perfect trip! The diversity of New Zealand is quite breathtaking and will long live in my memory. MoaTrek has provided more than just the sights. Great food, wine and accommodation plus special pampering. I feel as if I’ve been on a trip with friends. Congratulations!

Bespoke Self Drive January 2010

Thanks to you, a blessed couple had the trip of their lives. What a tribute to New Zealand - and to you, who made it possible with your glorious work and personalized itinerary. You knew intuitively who we were and what would most provide for a perfect trip. Flawless, everything could not have been more special or more memorable: Doubtful Sound, Queenstown, Kaikoura, the wineries, the dining recommendations, Hawke's Bay (staying at Paula's beach house was a dream), our last glorious night in Auckland - everything was utterly perfect. I must also tell you that our overnight at Ian and Di's was very possibly the most magical night of ambience I've been privileged to have experienced. How special that couple is - how authentic their home, their hospitality, their graciousness. That night will go down as a particularly incandescent night and time. It was perfect harmony - and perfect hospitality. And you made it possible. The flights were also just right in terms of helping us connect...

Chauffeur Driven Tour and Self Drive

In trekking the Routeburn I had the time of my life. I could honestly say that other competing groups did not have the same experience as we did.... I could not recommend the Moa Trek team highly enough. The entire programme MoaTrek organized for me was personalized, efficient and fun. The experience will have me back again soon for another journey...

Our thanks to the people of MoaTrek for helping to make this a trip that will live with us forever. We will recommend your company to anyone we know who is planning a New Zealand vacation. Do not be surprised if we contact you again complaining of New Zealand withdrawal and claiming that a return trip is the only possible cure.

Annual customised nature and hiking group tour

Our trip was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed Abel Tasman, Mt Aspiring, Franz Josef the Doubtful Sound cruise and the other gorgeous destinations. The hiking was exquisite and the kayaking relaxing and beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful preparation and guidance in planning the trip. We look forward to working with you in the future.

Bespoke Self Drive January 2009

We want to thank you for putting together such an amazing trip through New Zealand. We had lived in and visited many countries in the world but this was far beyond our expectations. Most important was the welcoming nature of the hosts that you sent us to. We hope to see several of them again. A very big thank you for making this trip, a really unique experience.

Chauffeur and Bespoke Self Drive March 2010

Since Al and I returned from New Zealand seven weeks ago, our Kiwi experiences have been constantly in the forefront of our minds. Frequently we recall the wonderful and magnificent adventures you led us toward with your guidance, knowledge and wisdom, and we cannot thank you enough for your assistance. It is difficult to overestimate the impact your choices made upon our experience, be they the Wilderness Lodges surrounded by majestic natural beauty, the private driver David with his easy going and always helpful presence, or the incredible visit to Ian and Di Mackenzie’s wonderful farm in Ashburton which immediately became #1 on our list. How can we possibly thank you enough? With tremendous gratitude.

Doubtful Sound & West Coast Odyssey April 2010

We enjoyed the company and will have many memories of the new places; the colours were great in Queenstown/Arrowtown, and the accomodation right at the top. Must give top marks to our driver and tour escort - they certainly 'made' the trip and looked after us well. Doubtful Sound really was the highlight and we made the most of it - went out on the 'tender' before dinner and saw and heard the Sound at its most peaceful time. The crew were great and went out of their way to answer questions; the cabin was just our size, and very comfortable. We were very lucky to have had the best of what the Sounds can give.

Decidedly Different Islands April 2009

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you….The finale of our trip was just fantastic, arranging the helicopter ride was the highlight of all highlights. If I hear of anyone interested in visiting New Zealand, know that I will not hesitate at all to recommend you, in fact you can count on me to ‘sell’ MoaTrek from now on. Thanks again.

Hawkes Bay Art Deco Festival Weekend February 2010

I had no idea of just how much was to actually happen over those few days! The venue for most events at the Sound Shell was so convenient to our Te Pania Hotel and so even with the streets closed to traffic it was all at reasonable walking distance. The vintage car parade was a real eye opener and I’m not a car buff. The tour driver was excellent, patient, and informative as well as being an excellent driver. Thank you MoaTrek for our lovely time away, good company and even the weather was perfect! All in all, a fabulous trip.

Summertime in Northland March 2010

Congratulations on a well organized trip, most delightful. A first class driver/guide, high quality accommodation and first class meals. This is just a few short lines but I will be doing another tour in the near future.

Heather Nicholson - New Zealand

Southern Odyssey & Stewart Island February 2009

Our Southern expedition was a wonderful example of The Perfect Tour. This has been by far the best group tour I have ever experienced with impeccable organisation and perfect choices of accommodation and food. I expect to join more MoaTrek tours in the future.

Wairarapa Wandering January 2010

I would like to say how much we enjoyed the well planned and organized tour. A very special mention of our driver/guide as he was an excellent host, guide and chauffeur. He certainly made the trip enjoyable and worthwhile. A big thank you to MoaTrek.

Tim and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we hope to be with you again. We wish you A Happy New Year and trust you had a good Christmas; we certainly did!

East Cape Caper February 2010

The whole trip was lovely and thoroughly enjoyable. They were a grand group of folk all erudite and good fun. We had a superb lunch with Joyce & Rex and admired once again these charming folks who open their homes to us. Just super. I loved the kiwi fruit orchard tour - an eye opener - the museums and especially the Manuka Company - marvellous, but for me, I just loved Pounamu Lodge - it's position, lovely lunch and superb decor.

Rena & Murray Hill - New Zealand

Coromandel Caper November 2009

We have had a trip that surpassed our expectations by far. MoaTrek’s choice of dining venues was a major factor and a highlight. The small coach and group size are a winner as we went places you would normally only go to by car.

Nan Patterson - New Zealand

Canterbury Springtime Gardens October 2009

The hosts of those magnificent acreages of gardens, together with the Mt Arden family, Frances & Don, Nancy & Bryan were so welcoming and kind that it just left you speechless. Adrienne & Neil's, Sara & Paul's, and Di & Ian's properties were mind blowing and I found in them a strength that is surely the backbone of New Zealand. Their properties were simply stunning, long may they prosper.

John & Frances O'Ferrall - New Zealand

Rhododendron Gardens October 2009

We thoroughly enjoyed it. It was not just the gardens, but the great people who opened their gardens, who shared their passion, their delight and joy in their particular gardens. I take my hat off to our very capable driver. A careful driver; prepared us for each place, listened to our requests, gave us that little bit extra.

Alison & Norman Da Prato - New Zealand

World of Wearable Art Awards Tour September 2009

Norman and I have enjoyed the Wearable Arts tour very much. We congratulate the organisers on planning a varied and interesting tour. Excellent accommodation and meals - what more could we want. Our escort and driver also deserve our grateful thanks for their helpful efficiency, good humour and dedication.

Decidedly Southern Tour

Everyone's sentiments about MoaTrek are definitely the same as ours...we loved the interaction with the locals everywhere we went, it made our trip that much more interesting and enjoyable. Plus, the smaller coach is the only way to go! It’s So easy to travel with a smaller group. Loved getting off the beaten path, keep up the good work. You can bet that every chance we get, we mention MoaTrek to anyone interested going over to NZ. Miss you guys.
